About the Yoga
Yoga literally means "union" or "to unite". Yoga helps you 'unite' or integrate your 'spirit' with your mind and body, through your breath. Over time, this helps you become more aware of how you are and how you feel. The more you are able to keep your awareness on your breath, the more relaxed you can become. The more relaxed you are, the better you feel! This doesn't happen overnight, and if you are new to yoga, try to be patient (however challenging that is for you) it will happen!
Gillian's classes are designed to include a mixture of yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) mini-medatations and relaxation. They are aimed at being enjoyable and safe, and you are encouraged to progress and develop your practice at your own pace. Yoga is not competitive and you don't need to aim to be the best!
" Yoga makes you feel good. It's relaxing. It's energizing. It's strengthening...
Yoga enhances your experience of life..."
